More Collage

COLLAGE WORKSHOP

More student works from the Collage workshop!!!!
Emphasis was on design - we talked about this throughout the workshop and in the critics and how the students can take their exercises further. I am looking forward to the next (part 2) of the workshop to see what the students have produced for 'homework'.

ENJOY!!!

More Collage

Some more paper/fabric collage exercises done in my Collage workshops last weekend.
The students learnt lots of new techniques that they could use in their work in the future.
These are only the beginnings and they will enhance these before the next workshop
(part 2). Watch for more posts on this workshop with wonderful and keen students.

Collage Workshop

On Saturday I taught a Collage workshop. They worked with paper and fabric creating a series of exercises to further enhance with stitch etc... for the continuing workshop in two weeks time. I asked the girls if I could share some of their work here on my blog with you all. They were all in agreement that is was a great idea so they could all share the excitement of the  Collages.
I can not wait until the next 'class' to see how far they will take their exercises they did yesterday.

So enjoy!!!

their paper and fabric exercises

Below are a few more examples of the beginnings
of the classes' paper and fabric exercises.

Aren't they wonderful?
Cannot wait until the next workshop when
they have worked on them further!!!

Colours of India - People

When I travel to India (4 times) I am always blown away with the vibrant, bold and intense colours - in their everyday clothing, food stalls, garlands, temples and the list could goes on and on............

India is a place you love or hate as a visitor and I LOVE it - I feel "I have come home" when I travel in India - maybe I lived there once in another time???

I love its diversity - it is a land on contrasts!!!!!! But it is not for everybody!

Below are some everyday pictures of people in India.

A detail of below

This work was done some time ago and I have moved on now but thought you would like to see some more of this series on India
(Not a good photo - taken before I had my new digital camera but I think you will get the idea of it )

For those that have not seen any of my past work I have posted some older work inspired by my trips to India - I love India  - I feel I had lived there in another life. I think another journey is needed in the near future.
So enjoy!!!

More Walking

As I stated in a previous post my husband and I walk most nights and I love taking my camera on these journeys into our local neighbourhood. Walking has not only been great for our health (I think???) but we are getting to know our local district and the people who live in it too. So below are a few photos taken on the walks.

Enjoy!!!
